Opening Prayer

Father please go before us, behind us and with us in and through your Holy Spirit making a way for redemption in our lives, in those we love and the

MM people we serve. We pray Lord for your joy to bring truth, justice and mercy to us in Jesus name. Amen

Psalm & Reflection

As we approach Gods throne, as we come to the alter and as scripture instructs us we are asked to go and resolve any disputes we may have before making a tithe or receiving communion. Perhaps we have never followed this instruction or never thought about it as a literal interpretation of the Bible, but it’s pretty clear when we read it. “

So if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and while there you remember that your brother has something [such as a grievance or legitimate complaint] against you, leave your offering there at the altar and go. First make peace with your brother, and then come and present your offering.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:23-24‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We are called to be pure, not just by Paul or Peter, but by Christ himself. This is the teaching of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We should be always, everywhere and on all occasions seeking to be peaceable, pure and in reconciliation of any unrighteousness with our fellow Brother and Sister.

If we lack conviction on this or have a limited understanding of how we should reconcile or approach seeking peace we must do so by again seeking the Wisdom from heaven. At our wedding Liza and I felt it necessary to recognize the significance of a life’s pursuit of wisdom. We are all called to follow Christ, to model his ways and seek his will. In James it teaches us how to do this from the perspective and opportunity to pursue wisdom. Here is the verses to encourage us how we can pursue Heavenly Wisdom: “But the wisdom from above is first pure [morally and spiritually undefiled], then peace-loving [courteous, considerate], gentle, reasonable [and willing to listen], full of compassion and good fruits. It is unwavering, without [self-righteous] hypocrisy [and self-serving guile]. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness (spiritual maturity) is sown in peace by those who make peace [by actively encouraging goodwill between individuals].”

‭‭James‬ ‭3:17-18‬ ‭AMP‬‬ The last part is beautiful, actively encourage goodwill between individuals!

As I was getting on my bus I jumped to the front of the line, where there was no bus driver or staff member addressing the passengers. However, the people lined up anyway, waiting patiently without instruction or a need to seek for answer. It was beautiful to see a pure, righteous and innocent line of orderly people formed without interruption. That was until I showed up lol! Then I joined the back of the line and immediately we started boarding, I even got the best seat on the bus and loved my drive through London along the way! Praise Jesus for a beautiful humanity in London! In Jesus name. Amen

Let us Pray…

Father we thank you for the gift of peace, purity and submission to you. Help us always and everywhere to follow you without annoyance, interruption or impatience. Help bring us a peace that surpasses all human understanding in every situation in Jesus name. Amen
