Summer with the Psalms

Tuesday 4th June 2024

“Answer me when I call to you, O God who declares me innocent. Free me from my troubles. Have mercy on me and hear my prayer. How long will you people ruin my reputation? How long will you make groundless accusations? How long will you continue your lies? You can be sure of this: The Lord set apart the godly for himself. The Lord will answer when I call to him. Don’t sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent. Offer sacrifices in the right spirit, and trust the Lord. Many people say, “Who will show us better times?” Let your face smile on us, Lord. You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.”

Pastor Tim’s Reflection

Do you ever find yourself leaving a voicemail in your time of need? Do you ever find yourself sending more than one text when you only really need a friend to just pick up the phone and call you back? Sometimes we can have so many friends in the room that we have forgotten who’s who. On other occasions we can be the only friend in the room and everyone else is our enemy! Where ever you find yourself today. Jesus is looking for you to open up to Him.

You can Trust Jesus even when things make no sense. You can Trust Jesus even in the most mundane situations and circumstances. Jesus is alive, he hears your prayers and sees your needs. Jesus is available right now to help you overcome your own indecision, your own insecurities and your own inherent sinful nature right now.

If you can open up, if you can let Jesus in he will come alongside you and creat an opportunity for you to receive his love forever. Yes! Jesus can welcome you home today, forgive you of your Sins and provide a room for you in eternity with Him! Hallelujah that he is God. That he is Good and that He does Good!

Prayer

Thank you Jesus that you are with us right now, that you remain with us now and always. Transform our situation O Lord, transform our circumstances O God and transform our perspective to follow only your will O Father in Heaven God Almighty. Yes Lord May your will be done in our lives here on earth as it is in Heaven in Jesus name. Amen
