Opening Prayer

Father God be with us and help us to overcome all our anxiety, fear and cowardice. Help us to be strong, bold and courageous for you with love, power and self discipline in Jesus name. Amen

Reflection:

When we go through change, through seasons and life we have to trust God. Liza and I are praying, believing and seeking the Lord because we know he is in charge, we know he is control of what’s next and we know we can have faith in him. We know when we believe in Jesus, when we believe in the Church and when we believe in the Resurrection Christ is going to move. That our faith, our hope and our trust is not misguided in Jesus Christ. Jesus wins out all the time.

When we place our trust in other things, in our own performance or our own abilities we ultimately fall. Our trust can often be misguided in superstitions, traditions or culture. Instead Jesus still asks even today to trust him. To trust his people, his Church and ultimately you and I to fulfill his purposes for our lives. So when we pray for Gods will to be done, we are praying for God to fulfill ultimately what he has planned and not to interrupt, get in the way or dismantle that. Jesus ultimately surrendered his life for us so that Gods will would be done.

As we go to bed tonight, as we rest our heads and rise our heads to go to Church tomorrow morning we do so trusting God. Not knowing what is next and being completely obedient to what God has next for us. We have to believe in God, because ultimately he believes in us and trusts us to do his will in Jesus name. Amen

Let us Pray…

Lord please help us to understand, to trust and fulfill your will no matter how hard we try to depart from it. Return us back to you O Lord and recover us from ourselves so we can ultimately serve you in Jesus name. Amen
