Free & Fit - Free & Fit Advent Challenge Day 25 - Proverbial Prayers & Planks - Advent Devotions from Proverbs with a Word, Proverb & Exercise Everyday - Christmas Day Wednesday December 25th 2024

Today is Christmas Day! Our word for the day is **Praise**! Yay! Santa came!!! Today our gifts may appear under a tree, our delight in the opening or in the exchanging of gift giving. This Christmas Day we pray that our focus and attention will remain with our gaze fully focused on Jesus! Praising Jesus! Hallelujah!

As the day progresses and the wrapping gets disposed of we all may feel a little heavier in the belly, lighter in the bank balance and excited for 2025! We just have to explore more than a full belly, indigestion or the Turkey sandwiches for the next week. What is Jesus going to do for you in 2025? How will you use these days in between to set up your year ahead?

Let’s always remain true to the next steps with opportunities to share Christs love everywhere, engaging in hugs and caring for all our broken world through the love and joy of sharing Christ at Christmas!

Our Proverb for today is Proverbs **Twenty Five verse One** ““Like clouds and wind without rain is one who boasts of gifts never given.” Proverbs 25:14 NIV

In the Amplified it says ““Like clouds and wind without rain Is a man who boasts falsely of gifts [he does not give]. [Jude 12]”

Proverbs 25:14 AMP

Our movement for today is **The Plank!** Today we celebrate the culmination of our Proverbial Prayers and Planks with the original classic Plank. Focus on your core and engage!

Todays Reflection:

That through the Gospels we can identify Jesus as Prophet, King and our High Priest.

As High Priest:

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. [Ex 19:5, 6]”

1 Peter 2:9 AMP

“In the days of Herod [the Great], king of Judea, there was a certain priest whose name was Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was a descendant of Aaron [the first high priest of Israel], and her name was Elizabeth.”

Luke 1:5 AMP

As King:

“In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. [Gen 1:1; Is 9:6]”

John 1:1 AMP

As Prophet: “She will give birth to a Son, and you shall name Him Jesus (The Lord is salvation), for He will save His people from their sins.””

Matthew 1:21 AM

In John I talked about three things.

Mess: out of the mess humanity he becomes our High Priest providing direct access to our Father in Heaven.

Messenger: John gave us access to Jesus through identifying him as the Way, Baptising him with the Holy Spirit and enabling us all to gain access to the Message of God. Jesus is the living breathing Christ “I am” he says declaring his true identity as the Son of God.

Messiah: Jesus is the son of God. Jesus is the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, all three Prophetic, Priestly and Royalty identities of our Messianic King!

In Matthew we see the story complete Matthew 1:23 "Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which translated means “God with us.”

In Mark we begin to see his adult Ministry foretell his Prophetic identity Mark 1:1

"The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God." Once again then Mark in 1:7-8 reveals the Way to Christ through John"...John preached, saying, 'After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie. I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.'"

In Luke his identity as King of Kings our Messiah Luke 1:31-32 “Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High…”"

In John completing the story to the Incarnation: John 1:14

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."

Let us allow God to take our time, to grant us His Son the opportunity to take over our government and become Lord and Savior of our Lives. Let us pray today for Jesus Christ to become the Light in our world.

A prayer for us all to say either silently in our hearts or aloud with me today…

But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

Romans 10:8-10 NIV

Prayer for Salvation

Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Take complete control of my life this Christmas and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and for answering my prayer and being with in all time. Thank you Jesus. It is your name, in Jesus’ name, that we all pray surrender and confess that your are the Messiah and the Son of God. It is in Jesus name that we pray. Amen.

If you are looking for answers we suggest Jesus is the Reason for the Season. If it’s questions you seek, we ask that you check out our videos on YouTube as we discuss some of our own questions. Our interviews with Elena, Roko, Nav and Rafo will be released over the twelve days of Christmas on the lead up to Epiphany.
