Free & Fit - Friday Session - How can God Save us Today?

Summer with the Psalms

Friday 7th June 2024

“I come to you for protection, O Lord my God. Save me from my persecutors—rescue me! If you don’t, they will maul me like a lion, tearing me to pieces with no one to rescue me. O Lord my God, if I have done wrong or am guilty of injustice, if I have betrayed a friend or plundered my enemy without cause, then let my enemies capture me. Let them trample me into the ground and drag my honor in the dust. Arise, O Lord, in anger! Stand up against the fury of my enemies! Wake up, my God, and bring justice! Gather the nations before you. Rule over them from on high. The Lord judges the nations. Declare me righteous, O Lord, for I am innocent, O Most High! End the evil of those who are wicked, and defend the righteous. For you look deep within the mind and heart, O righteous God. God is my shield, saving those whose hearts are true and right. God is an honest judge. He is angry with the wicked every day. If a person does not repent, God will sharpen his sword; he will bend and string his bow. He will prepare his deadly weapons and shoot his flaming arrows. The wicked conceive evil; they are pregnant with trouble and give birth to lies. They dig a deep pit to trap others, then fall into it themselves. The trouble they make for others backfires on them. The violence they plan falls on their own heads. I will thank the Lord because he is just; I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭7‬:‭1‬-‭17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Pastor Tim’s Reflection

When you seek the Lord do you do so with Selfish Ambition or Godly Ambition? How well can you check your Self-application against Gods Will or Your own Will for your life? Truthfully, are you making decisions for Jesus, or, for yourself?

Ultimately we all make mistakes in life and perhaps the only thing in life is that we can guarantee is that we will make a mistake, but we must seek to respond well to these types of circumstances. Gods word says “Blessed are the Pure in Heart” for they will See God! Let us be Pure in all our activities today and celebrate Earth Days!

Jesus said “Put away your sword,” Jesus told him. “Those who use the sword will die by the sword (Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭52‬ ‭NLT‬‬.” It is essential that we don’t resort to violence when we are pushed or put under pressure. It is imperative we remain calm, seek God in what we are doing and focus on Him sharing with us part of what he wants for our lives.

Praise God today in the window, in the hallway and on the pathway to the lobby and be prepared to proclaim his name that is brighter and better than even the person who God intervened on my trip to meet you. May Gods Peace be with us all!

Prayer

Father it is a crazy world out there and it doesn’t look like a people who are worshipping anything like the Praise we want in our own life. Bring us a fresh revelation, a fresh outpouring of your Holy Spirit on us right now in Jesus name. Amen

“So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.”

‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3:26‬ ‭NLT‬‬
