Today’s word is Silence!
Today’s move is the Wall Sit!
Today’s verse is Isaiah 8:13!
“It is the Lord of hosts whom you are to regard as holy and awesome. He shall be your [source of] fear, He shall be your [source of] dread [not man].”
Isaiah 8:13 AMP
Prayer & Reflection: The Israelite people are in confusion as we meet them in Chapter eight today of Isaiah. We find that they are seeking wisdom and insight from Mediums and Soothsayers rather than the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Where do you look when you are in times of distress? Who do you seek council from in your deepest time of need?
We must look to God, remain silent and wait upon the Lord to speak to us to help us understand how we should proceed and move forward. If we turn in the wrong direction we will no doubt invariably face some misfortune and face opposition or conflict in our future. It’s not that if we replace God with our own way of thinking that we lose our salvation, but we can misstep, be mistaken and misguided in forging our own path instead of followings Gods will.
In today’s verse we can find solace and security of trusting in him instead of man. By remaining vigilant and actively seeking his Will through his Word we too like the Israélite people can have the tablets of Gods word written on our heart if we reverently listen and lean into his will for our life through prayer and petition.
Prayer…
Father God please remain with us in all we do. Create a hedge of protection around us as we seek to follow you this year, help us to see you in the midst of all the craziness of our world and our lives. Be with us and all those in need today in Jesus name. Amen
