Free & Fit - Insights from Isaiah - Daily Decisions & Devotions
Today’s word is Vigilance!
Today’s move is High Knees!
Today’s verse is Isaiah 21:6!
“This is what the Lord says to me, “Go, station the lookout, let him report what he sees.”
Isaiah 21:6 AMP
Prayer & Reflection:
We have to remain vigilant as Christians in the world. We may face uncharted territory when we look outwards from a position of inward pain, hurt or offense. If you face a situation carrying a wound into the battle field it can lead to defeat, surrender and ultimately a misstep away from God. If we are not careful we can fall into bad habits which can turn into strongholds.
This is why today’s word “Vigilance” is so important. Where armies may keep a person as a lookout or watchmen we need to remain vigilant ourselves to not be attacked or influenced by secular society. Ultimately we must be fully aware that we are always on the battle field when we live a life as a Christian.
Sometimes we mistakenly think we are at fault when battles come our way and face adversity, but Jesus knew this would happen. He teaches us to prepare and to be prepared for many trials.
“Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice! [Ps 37:4] Let your gentle spirit [your graciousness, unselfishness, mercy, tolerance, and patience] be known to all people. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.”
Philippians 4:4-6 AMP
We must remember when fear strikes us down, when we face our adversary the devil full on and we try to take him head on we must trust in the Lord. We are not alone the Lord is near and closer than a Brother! Thank God today that Jesus can help us overcome the evil one!
Prayer for us Today…
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us].”
Romans 8:37
Thank you Jesus that nothing can separate us from the Love of God. Please be with us in all we do and surround us with your love and grace today in Jesus name. Amen
