Free & Fit - Insights from Isaiah - Daily Decisions & Devotions
Today’s word is Sovereignty!
Today’s move is Bridges!
Today’s verse is Isaiah 24:23!
“Then the full moon will be embarrassed and the sun ashamed, For the Lord of hosts will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, And His glory and brilliance will shine before His elders.”
Isaiah 24:23 AMP
Full Reflection:
So today I write for us a poem. Which may have been the words of another and I have shared one of my poems with you entitled the Paraclete, but here is my poem for today on the day of January 24, a month since Christmas Eve!
What a Saviour we have been given for all,
We have been saved from ourselves and the great Fall,
Without Him we are fearful, finding ourselves living in a pit of digitalization,
Whether we realize it or we are salves here to a secularization of fear and not a sense of false Christ’s second coming as a realization.
We have been in this world for maybe only a short time,
Yet we cling to it for comfort and seek to over come it in a mere human climb,
Instead we should be at the foot of the Alter returning to the Christ,
Finding Salvation all over again in His ultimate sacrifice.
Today let us not be just remembering his first coming being fully Human and yet fully Devine,
The Incarnation is a miracle well beyond yours and mine,
We all gain access to Christ without fear,
Yet do we truly understand what it means at the second coming, perhaps instead this we may not be clear!
Let us remind us ourselves of whose we are,
Let us return to Christ and not be too far,
Remind yourself you are a Chosen son and daughter of God,
One to be cherished, loved and appreciated not ignored.
Jesus was already forgiving before he died. Knowing the Disciples would disown him, Peter three times, others deserters and another the source of his ultimate earthly end. It was not just that Jesus was willing to forgive, it was that he was pursuing his Fathers will and not his own will.
So often we remember the words Jesus crying out “Forgive them Lord, for they do not know what they do.” Christ knew what we do, but he also knew that we didn’t know what we would do and yet he forgave them, he forgives us and forgives more than we deserves, merit or can comprehend. Thank God today for Jesus heart to forgive us.
Let us Pray:
Lord Jesus please go before us behind us and with us in Jesus name. Bless us not with a contrite heart, but a pure heart and send your Holy Spirit deeper into our hearts to forgive, cleanse and heal us in Jesus name. Amen
