“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed and commissioned me To bring good news to the humble and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up [the wounds of] the brokenhearted, To proclaim release [from confinement and condemnation] to the [physical and spiritual] captives And freedom to prisoners, [Rom 10:15] To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance and retribution of our God, To comfort all who mourn, [Matt 11:2-6; Luke 4:18, 19; 7:22]”

“For Zion’s sake I (Isaiah) will not be silent, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet, Until her righteousness and vindication go forth as brightness, And her salvation goes forth like a burning torch. The nations will see your righteousness and vindication [by God], And all kings [will see] your glory; And you will be called by a new name Which the mouth of the Lord will designate. [Rev 2:17]”

Prayer & Reflection:
We have all been called to Preach the Gospel, to overcome fear and like Moses be Gods microphone to His people. How far do you believe God is willing to go to use you to share the Gospel? Why not try and find out. Reach out to a friend to read your Bible together and check in with each other once a week. Prepare your heart for your connection and be prepared to connect your heart to the opportunity that presents itself.
When we reach out to Gods people we fulfill the calling he has given us to be obedient, zealous and bold for His Name and His Glory. God has a story for your life and when we lean into scripture, when we lean into a person and when we lean into a relationship with Him it’s a double blessing! God has anointed you, appointed you and approved you for such a time as this to be Bold, Strong and Courageous for Him!
Today let us not relent in following Him, let us pick up our Cross and follow His ways, His word and His welcome to others in our community. Let’s open the gates of heaven to other people with Thanksgiving and praise!

Father God thank you for helping me to overcome the difficulty of being shy or timid, help me to overcome and become more like you in my interactions with others. Thank you Lord for your Love and your Lavish Kindness and Compassion upon your creation. Be with us today, now, forever and always in Jesus name. Amen
