Today’s word is Rebellion!
Today’s move is Legs Elongated Stretch
Today’s verse is Isaiah 15:3!
“In the streets they wear sackcloth; on the roofs and in the public squares they all wail, prostrate with weeping.”
Isaiah 15:3 NIV
Prayer & Reflection: Tonight we meet the Moabite people at the end of their rope, they have ignored God, broken down and are devastated by their own behavior. They have given up all hope of recovery and are wailing, crying and desperately seeking for God to show mercy on them. It is dark. It’s all too familiar.
It’s a reality most of us have experienced in our own relationship with God. We know better, but we (like Paul) still do the thing which we would rather not do. Which is Sin. Yes, we are All Sinners!
“All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.”
Psalms 14:3 NIV
As we head into the beginning of a new year parts of us are afraid, unaware and ill equipped for what we may face in the year ahead. If you can be confident about anything in this life it is that we always need more of God and less of our own fear and anxiety.
“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”
2 Timothy 1:7
We must want what is best for us in order to make healthy, righteous and more Holy decisions. God is not absent from our need for forgiveness and he is willing, able and available to forgive you right here and now.
Let us Pray…
Father God come into our hearts and minds tonight. Be our gauntlet to fight the snares of the evil one and to rest well without nightmares or indifferent thoughts. We thank you Jesus for who you are and what you have done for us. We love you, need you and seek you right now in Jesus name. Amen
