Free & Fit - Summer with the Psalms - Monday 16th September Psalm 106
Summer with the Psalms
Monday 16th September Psalm 106
Opening Prayer
Father God help us to overcome obstacles to not seek credit in what we do by the way the world perceives us, but help us to see ourselves the way you see us. Help us to be in a righteous place in our hearts, to be at the heart of our issue and to develop a deeper relationship with you in Jesus name. Amen
Psalm 106 memory verse:
“Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, “Amen.” Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) [1 Chr 16:35, 36]”

Prayer & Reflection:
How we love is ultimately how we heal. How we treat others is the foundation of how we form relationships with others. How we love God and our fellow humans is how we will be able to interact, trust and commit to future healing that maybe required as we encounter life and walk through some of our most difficult challenges. If we love well, we heal well and respond well to those nearest and dearest to us.
Often times we are challenged by the culture, company or city we live in. Sometimes it can be the people, the place or the physical process of everyday life that causes us to experience hurt or fear. In today’s scripture we are reminded to hate what is evil and do good. We are called to even love our enemies as a witness and Jesus was unrelenting about this and he was crystal clear about what to do. In the amplified version it states “detest all ungodliness and do not tolerate wickedness.” Sometimes this is not easy, it can be uncomfortable and inconvenient, but it is the most important and essential thing we must do holding tightly to what is good.
So today let’s be like Jesus. Lets not tolerate the things of this world to consume us and to stand for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As Paul wrote to the Romans he writes to us today to hate what is evil and to do good. So today let’s do good. Let’s keep on encouraging, praying and reading our Bibles daily all in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
Let us Pray…
Father we re-commit our lives to you again today. Help us not to tolerate the ways of the world, the pains of the world and to remain quiet. Give us the convictions to be your hands and feet to stand against what is evil and to stand what is Good the Good News of the Gospel in Jesus name. Amen
“So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.”
