Psalm 30 Sunday 30 June

“I will exalt you, Lord, for you rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me. O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you restored my health. You brought me up from the grave, O Lord. You kept me from falling into the pit of death. Sing to the Lord, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning. When I was prosperous, I said, “Nothing can stop me now!” Your favor, O Lord, made me as secure as a mountain. Then you turned away from me, and I was shattered. I cried out to you, O Lord. I begged the Lord for mercy, saying, “What will you gain if I die, if I sink into the grave? Can my dust praise you? Can it tell of your faithfulness? Hear me, Lord, and have mercy on me. Help me, O Lord.” You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!”

Reflection of Psalm

Today’s Psalm grants us reason to rejoice, that in spite of our circumstances God has got our back, he is on our side and will re-order everything to our advantage. To be clear; Jesus Christ redeemed Death to Life, Sin to Forgiveness and Injustice to Grace and Mercy.

The Psalmist teaches us to rejoice in the Promises of Heaven “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” God is not finished with you and wants to align your steps with His Will, to restore your Hope with His Son Jesus and to place your position with the Power to preach the Gospel!

Follow Jesus, follow His teaching and follow His example. Be a witness of Christs Love, be a living testimony of his sacrifice for us on the Cross and share His message of the Gospel everywhere you go! Jesus is Real, he is Alive and he is For you and not against you! Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus!

Prayer

Father please go beyond our current circumstances, forgive us of our habitual sin and break our behaviors, thought patterns and help us to act differently. Help us to be ambassadors of Christ, for Christ everywhere we go and to share Christ in all we do in Jesus name. Amen
