Sunday 9th June 2024

“I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. My enemies retreated; they staggered and died when you appeared. For you have judged in my favor; from your throne you have judged with fairness. You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you have erased their names forever. The enemy is finished, in endless ruins; the cities you uprooted are now forgotten. But the Lord reigns forever, executing judgment from his throne. He will judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness. The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you. Sing praises to the Lord who reigns in Jerusalem. Tell the world about his unforgettable deeds. For he who avenges murder cares for the helpless. He does not ignore the cries of those who suffer. Lord, have mercy on me. See how my enemies torment me. Snatch me back from the jaws of death. Save me so I can praise you publicly at Jerusalem’s gates, so I can rejoice that you have rescued me. The nations have fallen into the pit they dug for others. Their own feet have been caught in the trap they set. The Lord is known for his justice. The wicked are trapped by their own deeds. The wicked will go down to the grave. This is the fate of all the nations who ignore God. But the needy will not be ignored forever; the hopes of the poor will not always be crushed. Arise, O Lord! Do not let mere mortals defy you! Judge the nations! Make them tremble in fear, O Lord. Let the nations know they are merely human. ”

Pastor Tim’s Reflection

We can be confident of how God will respond to our requests. God is our Great Redeemer! Yes He Lives!

Jesus said “This evil generation keeps asking me to show them a miraculous sign. But the only sign I will give them is the sign of Jonah. What happened to him was a sign to the people of Nineveh that God had sent him. What happens to the Son of Man will be a sign to these people that he was sent by God

‭‭(Luke‬ ‭11‬:‭29b‬-‭30‬ ‭NLT‬‬).”

Yes our Great Redeemer Lives! Yes our Living God was sent into the world to redeem us of our own indecision, our incorrect motives and our consistent battle with over coming evil. He wants us to know His love and be set free!

Today God wants you to know He is with you in the battle, fighting on your behalf and making a way in the wilderness. God wants to set you free, to put you on a path towards Holiness and back to Himself. Thank Jesus Today that He is Good, that He does Good and that He makes us Good! Hallelujah Jesus!

Let us follow the ways of Jesus back to the Father, back to God and through the power of the Holy Spirit to Redemption. Let us do good in the world for the sake, for the name and for the purposes and promises of our Risen King, our Lord or Lords and our Savior from on Most High Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Thank you Jesus!

Prayer

Father come into our lives again today, be with us right where we are, interceding on our behalf, correcting, rebuking and re-ordering our steps to go to the places, to the people and to fulfill the purposes only you would have us walk through. Equip us, empower us and edify us with the power of your Holy Spirit to love the lost, heal the sick and proclaim the year of the Lords favor here on earth as it is in Heaven. In Jesus name. Amen
