Tenacious Teaching for Timothy’s Reflections

Friday 8th November 1 Timothy 2:1-15

Scripture Focus:

“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior,”

‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

1 Timothy 2:1-15 in full:

Reflections

In life there are often times we don’t know what to say, how to say it or when to say it. Even more this is apparent in prayer. The Holy Spirit as our advocate is interceding on our behalf so that when we pray, even when don’t know what or how to pray He is interceding on our behalf. The person of the Holy Spirit, the same Spirit that rose Christ from the grave, is alive inside of us on our behalf to welcome, speak and invest in our everyday lives and challenges.

Upon the revelation of recognizing the need to submit to the will of God we can begin to see Christ working through our situation and the Holy Spirit being available to help us in our every need and pursuit of having our prayers answered. Without saying the specific correct words we can await answers through the Holy Spirits ability to lead, council, direct and comfort us in all our needs.

The answer to our prayers may not be in our words, but in our obedience to trust God and to allow the Holy Spirit to work on our behalf. Through trusting God, being willing to wait on the Holy Spirit and let Jesus intercede on our behalf to the Father we can in faith, hope and love be assured of our prayers being heard by God in Jesus name. Amen

Let us Pray…

Father please help us in our inability to trust, understand or to know what to say in prayer, but please help us instead to be obedient to you, to listen to your still small voice and trust your Holy Spirit all in Jesus name. Amen

“So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.”

‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3:26‬ ‭NLT‬‬
