Free & Fit - The Saving Grace of Sacrificial Surrender to Jesus in 2025!
In Romans 12:1-2 we find the transformation we all pursue in our lives, our world and Christs Church. The scripture set before us for the year ahead allows us to dream again with new found belief in the Saving Grace of Sacrificial Surrender to Jesus in 2025!
Our first part of this scripture is more clearly outlined to us in the Amplified translation with deeper explanation.
“Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.”
Romans 12:1 AMP
By the mercy of God, his Son on the Cross, we are to present ourselves, that’s you and I, as a living surrendered sacrifice. We are to dedicate our lives to Jesus as Messengers of the Way to the World. Sharing that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life in Jesus name! Amen
“And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].”
Romans 12:2 AMP
We are to not conform to the patterns of this world, but to be transformed into Gods likeness. It is through the perfect will, ways and wisdom of his perfect plan for our lives that we can gain freedom. We have to pray as we enter into 2025 how to follow His Will, how to pray to act in His Ways and how to seek to apply His Wisdom!
We can do this in three ways as we seek to find Favor and Freedom in 2025.
Through reading his Word we are able to develop a deeper relationship with God through daily engaging in conversation with Him and with new profound purpose for the future. One way of doing this is by signing up to a Bible in One year commentary for the New Year ahead. Historically I have read the Bible in One Year with Nick and Pippa Gumble from the pioneers of Alpha.

Secondly, we can continue to pray daily by journaling and reading a devotional. For the year ahead 2025 many amazing devotional resources and journaling options are available.
Some of the best ways we see God move is through old fashioned pen and paper journaling in a diary. You can gain access to different devotional resources like these online including the “Our Daily Bread” app or email:

Finally, the third and most arguably important part is to Worship through joining a Worshipping community. If you would like to join our community you can do so by signing up to our newsletter or by joining our Sunday services in person if you live in the Carolinas. Alternatively, you may desire to join an online community or local Church close to where you live.
We encourage you to pursue the presence of God in a Church community and the power of the Holy Spirit at work amongst Gods people. As we enter into 2025 it is always great to pause, prepare and pray for the year ahead.
Today I got to do that and I have been reminded over and over again that we must surrender our own agenda and submit to Gods plan for the years ahead.
The word I received for the year ahead was “Thanksgiving”. In the Jewish tradition this is celebrated in everyday life of Giving Thanks for every new day that the Lord grants us on this earth. This practice is I now understand is called “Modeh Ani” in essence give thanks for everyday...fabulous!
“This [day in which God has saved me] is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
