Opening Verse:
“Paul, Silvanus (Silas), and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace [inner calm and spiritual well-being from God].”
1 Thessalonians 1:1 AMP
Reflection Verses:
“We give thanks to God always for all of you, continually mentioning you in our prayers; recalling unceasingly before our God and Father your work energized by faith, and your service motivated by love and unwavering hope in [the return of] our Lord Jesus Christ. [1 Thess 1:10]”

As we approach the end of the year we begin to reflect on what has passed in 2024. In our reflections we must cast all our cares and anxieties upon the Lord. This new Thessalonians reflection series that we are embarking upon will be focused on the Church in Thessalonica and Paul’s letters to that Church.
In America, and other parts of the world, we are all coming together to celebrate a season of Thanksgiving and this chapter begins with a Thankful reflection and invitation to the people of this Church community. Are you thankful for your Church community? Have you thanked them yet this year? Now is the time, to give thanks and to say “Thank you Church! We love you!”
The Church is what Jesus seeks to protect and preserve in John 17. He seeks for us, as Christian and followers of the Way, to be the Church to the world we now see and to stand together for Unity. It is his desire and wish for the Church, the bride of Christ, to be together as one and he would do whatever it takes to see that we were together and he would like us to see each other as Himself. Created in the image of God.
““I do not pray for these alone [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for [all] those who [will ever] believe and trust in Me through their message, that they all may be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe [without any doubt] that You sent Me.”
John 17:20-21 AMP
What is profound about this is that we have not only hope in Jesus and salvation, but an intercession which continues to this day from when this letter was first written and throughout history until and inlcuding today .
“For they themselves report about us, telling what kind of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to [look forward and confidently] wait for [the coming of] His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead—Jesus, who [personally] rescues us from the coming wrath [and draws us to Himself, granting us all the privileges and rewards of a new life with Him].”
1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 AMP
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. You have been called, favored, chosen and made Holy through his sacrifice on the Cross! Hallelujah Jesus!
Prayer for Today….
Father thank you for your love, your peace and your patience with us. Help us to follow you in all we do and to help us remain in your love, today forever, now and always in Jesus name. Amen
